"Abu Dhabi Judiciary" Sign a note with"Global group" To manage correctional and rehabilitation centres

ABU DHABI, December 11, 2017 – The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department concluded a memorandum of understanding with the Global Security Services Group, under which it will manage operations in the correctional and rehabilitation centers sector, with the aim of raising the quality of operations and developing digital systems that employ artificial intelligence, which contributes to improving security solutions and supporting human rights. Inmates and facilitating their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

This experience is the first of its kind in the Middle East region in enabling private sector institutions to manage operations in correctional and rehabilitation centres, which comes with the aim of supporting the partnership between the government and private sectors and benefiting from the innovative solutions, procedures and global outputs it provides, which contributes to raising the efficiency of operations and achieving An ideal environment for the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates.

His Excellency Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, confirmed that the signing of the memorandum of understanding falls within the continuous improvement and modernization efforts of the Judicial Department to improve the quality of services provided in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi globally.

He explained that the memorandum supports the achievement of directions aimed at strengthening security solutions and operations in correctional and rehabilitation centers, in implementation of the strategic plan to develop distinguished centers that apply the best international practices, and in a way that contributes to achieving the goals aimed at adopting systems and programs that keep pace with all developments to ensure the security and safety of the centers’ residents and work teams from Specialized employees.
