She wrote: “From the moment the regime fell, I realized how deceived we were… They planted fear deep within us for many years regarding the idea of change, but what we are witnessing today dispelled our fears and we realized our miscalculation.”
The Syrian artist continued: “The slogans that the new leadership carried and the statements it issued calling for the reunification of the country and the solidarity of its people with their various sects and their concern for no bloodshed and for security and safety… and their preservation of public and private property and their pardon of prisoners, have made our hearts and minds bloody. The injustice and persecution we saw in them, all of this and more, made me reassured and optimistic about their sincere intentions to build a nation torn apart by pain Poverty and deprivation, in many details, are not worthy of us as Syrians who possess civilization, culture, art and history.”
Then she added: “We are with you and with every honorable Syrian in building a state that deserves us and deserves it, God willing. Let us live together as one hand and one family in a homeland that longs for freedom, stability, security, and safety. In a homeland that yearns for coexistence and sincere love among all its sects and components. You have seen Yourselves, as the whole world saw, the amount of love, warmth and optimism for you from the entire Syrian people, in all their forms, sects and affiliations.”
She prayed to them, saying: “May God be with you and help you to instill confidence and ward off strife… and bring together yesterday’s pieces… and spread the culture of love and tolerance… to preserve the identity of our beloved Syria and restore its pride and dignity, God willing.”

Suzanne concluded by saying: “Oh God, grant us security in our homelands. Long live our beloved Syria, free, proud, and independent.” (New)
