Because of her ex-husband’s involvement in a drug case…a famous Turkish TV presenter was expelled!

Pinar Erbaş said that her divorced woman, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, was involved in a case related to drug use and providing a place for others to take drugs, and he had been arrested since last month.
Ersoy’s arrest last December caused shock in the Turkish media community, as he was editor-in-chief of the Habertürk channel and presented its evening news bulletin.
About a week after his arrest, Ersoy’s ex-wife apologized for presenting news broadcasts to avoid reading what was related to her ex-husband’s story, which she said had made her face “the fact that she had spent a period of her life in lies, deception, and fantasy.”
Erbaş took a leave of absence from work since last December 20, before revealing on Monday that the channel initially extended her short leave and then informed her of her dismissal from work.
Erbaş explained in a blog post on the “X” website that she was subjected to great injustice because of her dismissal due to her ex-husband’s crime, and the principle of “individual guilt” was ignored, as she said.
She added that the decision to dismiss her included, in part, inequality between the sexes, and she wondered whether her ex-husband would be fired from his job if she were the accused in the case.
Erbaş received great sympathy in the media, which is witnessing anticipation in conjunction with an anti-drug campaign that has targeted celebrities in the sectors of media, art, and social media, and has already led to the conviction of a number of them. (Arm News)
