Arab and international compositions in Cairo Café style on the small stage at the Opera House

In continuation of the activities of the Ministry of Culture aimed at displaying and presenting the distinctive artistic colors, the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Lamia Zayed, will hold a concert by the Cairo Café band, led by the pianist and the music arranger, in honor of and with the participation of the singers Lydia and Omnia and the qanun player Ali Mahmoud, at eight in the evening on Friday, December 13, in the small theater.

 

The program includes a group of Arab and Western compositions that have been reformulated with a new musical vision, including a group of Eloquent works by Hamdi and Farid Al-Atrash, Bird between us, O my heart – Dar Al-Oyoun – Oh Mustafa by Mohamed Fawzi, Wheat Tonight – I Love You by Mohamed Abdel Wahhab, Five by Six by Mounir Murad, a number of which are mixed with selections from international film songs, including The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady, in addition to Examples of Sharaf’s works, including “Imagination” and “Longaya”. 

 

It is mentioned that The artist is an honorary composer, composer, and pianist. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in 1985 and from the Academy of Arts in 1986. He then obtained a postgraduate diploma in music sciences. He began his professional career by arranging music for a group of singers, including Medhat Saleh, Mohamed Fouad, and Ali El Haggar.

 

 He also composed many show tunes for Nelly’s Fawazir and collaborated with a number of promising bands. He participated in composing music He also composed the soundtracks, composed and arranged the sequences for the series Adham, Zeinat, The Three Girls, Dawn of a Summer Night, The Caller, Aghla Al Nas, Shaghal Afarit, and the film Shabab Ala Al Hawa. He founded a band. "Cairo Cafe" to present a new musical interpretation of the masterpieces of the time of fine art.
