The Council of Muslim Elders participates in the Jeddah International Book Fair

Abu Dhabi, December 11 / WAM / The Muslim Council of Elders is participating with a special pavilion in the Jeddah International Book Fair, whose activities begin tomorrow, Thursday, in Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Council’s participation stems from its mission aimed at promoting peace, consolidating the values of dialogue and tolerance, and building bridges of cooperation and coexistence.
The wing of the Council of Muslim Elders presents more than 220 publications and books that address the most important intellectual issues, and works to correct misconceptions and combat hate speech, racism, intolerance and discrimination, in addition to spreading the values of goodness, love and peace, most notably 20 books by His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, which aims to introduce the tolerance of Islam and the richness of its intellectual and philosophical heritage.
The Jeddah International Book Fair brings together writers, publishers, and readers from around the world in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is considered one of the most important cultural events in the region. It provides a platform for displaying the latest literary publications, and organizing many accompanying cultural events.
The current general exhibition witnesses the participation of 1,000 local and international publishing houses and agencies from 22 countries, distributed over more than 450 pavilions, in addition to organizing a diverse cultural program, which includes more than 100 events.
