The General Authority for Statistics announced the launch of the Statistical Quality Assurance Framework, which is considered an integrated scientific reference.
It aims to enhance the principles and standards of collecting, processing and publishing official statistics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This framework is compatible with the organization of the General Authority for Statistics in the Kingdom and in harmony with the United Nations Quality Assurance Framework.
It is also based on the basic principles of official statistics issued by the United Nations, which reflects commitment to the highest international quality standards.

The statistical quality assurance framework consists of four basic levels, including management of the statistical system, management of the institutional environment, statistical processes and statistical products.

Standards and methods

The framework is based on eighteen principles that are divided into standards and methods that contribute to achieving compliance with these principles, ensuring the provision of accurate and reliable data that enhances decision-making based on scientific foundations.

The General Authority for Statistics has made the statistical quality assurance framework available in its Arabic and English versions through its official website, in order to provide researchers, specialists in statistical work, and governmental and private institutions with the opportunity to benefit from it.
