The launch of the Madinat Zayed Music Competition, the third stop of the Al Dhafra Festival

Al Dhafra, 12 December / WAM / The Madinat Zayed Mazayna competitions, the third leg of the 18th edition of the Al Dhafra Festival, began today, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and will continue until December 19 in Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra region.

Since the early morning hours, camel convoys began to arrive at the Al-Mazaina site to participate in the competitions for cutting the camels, as the camel competitions reflect the passion of the people of the Emirates and the people of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, their relationship with camels, their upbringing and care, and their adherence to their authentic customs and ancient traditions.

The participating camels entered the nighting booths in the auction within 8 separate rounds for the local and Majahim categories, in preparation for their presentation to the similarity, teething, and sorting committees, the medical committee, and the judging committee. The results will be announced tomorrow afternoon, Friday, and the winners of the first places will be crowned in the camel auction platform in Madinat Zayed.

The organizing committee for the auction allocated 775 prizes to the winners with a value exceeding 12 million dirhams, distributed over 85 races, including 38 races for local camels, 35 races for Al-Majahim camels, 6 races for purebred cross-bred camels, and 6 races for Al-Wadh camels, within 6 age categories: “Mafarid, Haqayeq, and “Flashes, spreads, folds, and squints.”
