The symposium, which was moderated by Allegra Mostyn-Owen, a journalist and academic, and Olga Maitland, head of the Research Center at the Defense and Security Forum in London, discussed several topics related to Gulf-British relations, and multiple and future areas of cooperation, in addition to cooperation in combating extremism and enhancing regional stability..

The speakers stressed the depth of the historical roots of relations between the two sides, and the importance of building on this foundation to enhance future cooperation, and highlighted the diversity and multiplicity of areas of cooperation, starting from political and diplomatic relations, all the way to economic, investment and cultural cooperation..
They said that there are great opportunities to deepen cooperation between the Gulf states and the United Kingdom in various fields, and called for presenting new initiatives that contribute to building a brighter future for both parties, and identified many promising opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, investment, and technology..
They also praised the pioneering role of the United Arab Emirates in promoting stability and growth in the region, and called for benefiting from its experience in this regard, pointing out the importance of the Abrahamic Accords as an important step towards achieving peace and stability in the Middle East, and the possibility of expanding their scope to include other countries..
The symposium began with an opening speech by British Member of Parliament Pampus Charalambous, in which he focused on the importance of British-Gulf relations and the necessity of international cooperation, especially in the field of combating terrorism and extremism, stressing at the same time the role of technology..
Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Trends Center for Research and Consultation, stressed the depth and strength of the relations that bind the United Kingdom with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, noting that they extend to various different fields: political, economic, military and cultural..
