The Prince of Poets program is witnessing strong competitions

Abu Dhabi, December 13 / WAM / Yesterday’s episode of the eleventh season of the “Prince of Poets” program, produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, witnessed strong competitions between participating poets Jibril Adam Jibril from Chad, Abdul Rahman Al-Humairi from the Emirates, and Abdul Salam Saeed Abu Hajar from Libya. The session was attended by Dr. Sultan Al Amimi, Acting Executive Director of the Poetry and Heritage Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Acting Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Authority, and a number of ambassadors, diplomats and members of the program’s advisory committee, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Fadl Badran, Dr. Imad Khalaf, and the poet Raad. Bandar, and an audience of poets, media figures, writers, intellectuals, and poetry lovers.

The four poets recited their poems before the judging committee consisting of Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Dr. Wahab Roumieh, and Dr. Muhammad Hajo. The committee announced the qualifications of the poet Abdul Rahman Al-Humairi from the Emirates, obtaining 46 out of 50 marks, and the poet Abdul Salam Saeed Abu Hajar from Libya, who obtained 45 marks out of 50. While Jibril Adam Jibril from Chad got 40 degrees, and Mai Issa Roumieh got 38 degrees. Public voting during this week will decide whether one of them qualifies for the next stage.

The result of the public vote in the first episode announced the qualification of the poet Muhammad Idris from Iraq by obtaining a total of 78 points out of 100, to join the ranks of the finalists to the next stage of the program, accompanied by the poets Yazan Issa, from Syria, and Abdul Wahed Imran, from Yemen, who qualified by the decision of the committee. Arbitration in the last episode.

It is noteworthy that the competition mechanism in this stage of “Prince of Poets” consists of five episodes, in each of which 4 poets compete, while at the end of the stage 15 poets qualify.
