Al Hamriyah Children’s Festival launches its 13th edition

Sharjah, December 17 / WAM / The activities of the 13th edition of the Al Hamriyah Children’s Festival, in its 13th edition, were launched at the Heritage Village in Sharjah yesterday evening, which continues until December 26.
The festival, which is organized by the Department of Social Services in Sharjah, includes daily prizes and competitions, including the “Wandering Question” competition, and a display of the products of the “Intaj” Center affiliated with the Department of Social Services in five packages, which are: the Tayeb Package for incense and perfumes, the Atayeb Food Package, the Creativity Package for handicrafts, and the Elegance for fashion and accessories, and Mahra’s package for traditional crafts, in addition to many entertainment games, cultural competitions, educational workshops, and handicrafts, which attract adults. And children, with distinguished contributions by senior citizens from the Asala Club, and handicrafts.
Maryam Majid Al Shamsi, Director of the Branch of the Department of Social Services in Al Hamriyah, said that the festival attracts the participation of an elite group of those concerned with children’s affairs, who present a group of diverse workshops in the evening. Between 5 and 8 workshops are organized daily, covering topics in various fields, such as moral values, national identity, safe digital living, in addition to cooking, and others.
She added that there are several parties participating in the festival, including the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, represented by the Departments of Health Education and Family Guidance, the Sharjah Book Authority, and other relevant institutions.
