“Jeddah’s Book” traces the journey of making a podcast and the practical steps to launch it

The podcast industry captured the attention of visitors to the Jeddah Book Fair 2024, through a workshop entitled “The Podcast Making Journey,” as part of the cultural program of the exhibition.
The workshop touched on the steps in the process of launching a podcast, and shed light on the technical roots of podcasting, as a free platform free of editorial restrictions, which made it an attractive field for many.

Types of podcasts

The workshop reviewed the various types of podcasts, including conversational podcasts, which are a meeting between two parties.
Narrative or investigative podcasts are characterized by their narrative nature and require extensive preparation.

A speaking podcast, which relies on one individual presenting its content.

Activities targeting all ages

The cultural program of the Jeddah Book Fair 2024 is full of various activities targeting all ages and hobbies, in confirmation from the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority to enrich visitors’ experience with knowledge and entertainment.
The exhibition will continue to receive visitors until December 21.
