Sultan Al Qasimi honors the winners of the Sharjah Award for Linguistic and Lexical Studies

Sharjah, December 18 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, Supreme President of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, affirmed that the distinguished knowledge work of scholars and knowledgeable people and the continuation of scientific research in various sciences, documenting and publishing them is a great gain for the nation and for generations. This is what Sharjah has been working on for decades, as well as its keenness to honor and celebrate researchers who work hard and diligently.
This came while His Highness honored, this Wednesday morning, at the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, the winners of the seventh session of the Sharjah Award for Linguistic and Lexical Studies.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah explained that Sharjah works according to well-thought-out programs that provide the means and capabilities to everyone who strives and works, and offers all of this sincere effort to every job seeker and beneficiary, in the sciences, historical and geographical studies, and in the Arabic language. His Highness pointed out the necessity of verifying information, careful research and analysis. Interpretation is what contributes to presenting correct knowledge with a pure and complete scientific structure.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah congratulated the winners of the seventh session’s awards for their valuable contributions and bright ideas that produced distinguished, solid scientific research to enrich the Arab library in the various fields of the Arabic language.
The first place in the Linguistics axis, “Authenticated Linguistic Heritage Books in All Branches of Arabic Language Sciences,” was won by Dr. Ahmed Khalif Al-Araj, for the investigation of the book “The Proximal Genius in the Letters of Meaning by Al-Hasan bin Qasim Al-Muradi,” and second place was won by Dr. Hala Jamal Al-Qadi, for the investigation of the book “ The Book of Acts by Ibn al-Goth.
Dr. Faisal Al-Hafyan won first place in the lexicography section, “Dictionaries Specialized in the Humanities and Sharia Sciences,” for his book, “Dictionary of the Holy Qur’an, Dictionary of Ethics,” while Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Razzaq won second place for his book, “Dictionary of Interpretation.”
Dr. Faisal Al-Hafyan, in a speech he delivered on behalf of his fellow winners in this session, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for His Highness’s patronage and motivation for scholars, and for the Emirate of Sharjah’s always interest and connection to science and knowledge and honoring the distinguished in the various scientific, literary, artistic and other fields, expressing his happiness and that of his colleagues. With the victory and honor from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, noting that everyone who receives the honor from Sharjah feels proud and happy. The privacy of honor; The value of the awards offered by the Emirate of Science and Knowledge lies in their neutrality and giving the right to those who are distinguished and prominent, which encourages them to work more diligently and excel.
At the conclusion of the honoring ceremony, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah kindly took souvenir photos with the winners, the Award’s Board of Trustees and the Scientific Committee.
Dr. Ahmed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, announced at the conclusion of the honoring ceremony the axes of the Sharjah Award for Linguistic and Lexical Studies in its upcoming eighth session, which are the axis of linguistics, “textual linguistic studies,” and the axis of lexicography, “dictionaries composed of terms in the sciences of the Arabic language.”
