A medical team at Ajyad Emergency Hospital, a member of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Cluster, was able to save the life of a 68-year-old American visitor, after he suffered from chronic heart disease and severe high blood pressure.

The Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Assembly explained that the patient arrived at the emergency department suffering from shortness of breath and a cough that lasted for 24 hours before he was admitted to the hospital.
After conducting the necessary tests and x-rays, it was found that there was fluid accumulation in the lung, which required his immediate admission to intensive care and his placement on a ventilator.

The association added that the patient’s health condition stabilized after receiving intensive care, and he was later transferred to Hera Hospital to complete specialized medical care.
