المملكة: Below zero…a report of the lowest temperatures in the Kingdom today, Wednesday

Qurayyat recorded the lowest temperature in the Kingdom today, Wednesday, and according to the National Center of Meteorology’s weather statement, Qurayyat recorded one degree below zero.
Turaif came in second place, recording 0 degrees Celsius, then Rafha, which recorded one degree Celsius.
Arar recorded 2 degrees Celsius, then Sakaka, Qaisumah and Hail recorded 4 degrees.
Finally came Tabuk, which recorded 5 degrees Celsius.

Cold weather and cloudy skies

The National Center of Meteorology expects, in its weather report today, Wednesday, across the Kingdom’s regions, that the weather will remain cold in parts of the north and center of the Kingdom.

While the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy, it may be interspersed with rain and thunderstorm clouds over parts of the Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah regions.

It is not excluded that fog will form in parts of these areas, as well as in the southern parts of the eastern region.

Red Sea

Surface winds: North to northwesterly at a speed of 20-35 km/h in the northern and central parts, reaching more than 40 km/h towards the Gulf of Aqaba Strait.
South to southeasterly at a speed of 15-35 km/h, reaching a speed of 50 km/h with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.
Wave height: from half a meter to one and a half metres, reaching above two and a half meters with the formation of rainy thunderclouds over the southern part.

Sea condition: Light to medium waves reaching wavy, with the formation of thunderstorm clouds over the southern part.

Arabian Gulf

Surface winds: northwesterly at a speed of 25-40 km/h.

Wave height: from one to two metres.

Sea state: moderate waves.

Cold wave

Today, the National Center of Meteorology warned of a cold wave in the northern border region.
Its effects include a drop in temperatures from 0°C to 3°C below zero on the city of Arar, Turaif Governorate, Rafha, Al-Uwaiqila, and Hazm Al-Jalamid.
He explained that the situation begins at 1 a.m. on Thursday, and continues until 9 a.m. on the same day.
