Geospatial economic licenses

This initiative focuses on panoramic photography activities, high-resolution maps, navigation techniques, and geospatial intelligence in line with global and national policies and standards for geospatial data.
The initiative, which Geospatial announced its implementation, aims to: To organize the value chain of geospatial data.
This includes the stage of collecting and managing data, leading to its effective use and achieving added value while maintaining its security and integrity.

Geospatial economic growth in Saudi Arabia

This is in addition to developing partnerships between the public and private sectors to enhance geospatial economic growth in the Kingdom, seeking to build and develop national capabilities in the sector, enhancing advanced skills and innovation, and empowering entrepreneurs and emerging companies.
In addition to encouraging direct and indirect investments in the sector, supporting small and medium enterprises, providing an attractive environment for investment, promoting geospatial economic growth and contributing to achieving development goals.
Geospatial works to regulate the surveying, geospatial information and imaging sector related to its work in the Kingdom, including licensing the practice of activities in the sector, and preparing it to be attractive to investment and stimulating its growth.

10 memorandums of cooperation

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information concluded 10 memorandums of cooperation with a number of government sector entities, the academic sector, and the non-profit sector.
“Geospatial” stated that it aims, through the memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, to enhance the role of geospatial information in serving and caring for the guests of the Two Holy Mosques, and to improve the experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers in caring for the affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
It also confirmed that it aims to support and enable planning and implementation of development projects based on geospatial information that supports smart decision-making, through a memorandum of cooperation with the Jeddah Governorate Municipality.

The 10th Arab Forum on Geographical Names

As well as a memorandum of cooperation with the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region Development Authority, a memorandum of cooperation with the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the Holy Sites, and a memorandum of cooperation with the Taif Governorate Secretariat.
This came during the Tenth Arab Forum on Geographical Names, which was hosted by the Kingdom over a period of three days, with the participation of 22 Arab countries and a number of relevant international organizations, in the presence of a number of officials, experts and specialists.
