The CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority receives the Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration in Bahrain

Nibras Taleb, CEO of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, received Ms. Aishath Ehma Sharif, Head of the International Organization for Migration’s mission in Bahrain, where he congratulated her on her appointment to this position, wishing her success in her new duties.

During the meeting, he praised the fruitful partnership and ongoing cooperation between the Labor Market Regulatory Authority and the International Organization for Migration, stressing the importance of this relationship in achieving common goals of promoting a safe and sustainable work environment. He explained that the Authority’s efforts are focused on developing national skills and competencies to optimally deal with the requirements of the labor market, while paying special attention to the field of combating trafficking in persons through implementing innovative programs and initiatives in cooperation with international partners.

The CEO also stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with international organizations to achieve best global practices, noting the importance of joint work with regard to labor affairs and continuing to promote human rights.

For her part, Aishath Ehma Sharif expressed her great appreciation for the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in supporting the activities and programs of the International Organization for Migration at the local and international levels.

She praised the Kingdom’s commitment to a comprehensive and integrated approach in enhancing international cooperation and combating trafficking in persons, which reflects a clear vision for achieving sustainable development and protecting workers’ rights.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties expressed their aspiration to continue fruitful cooperation and intensify joint efforts to achieve the desired goals.
