"Sharjah Economy" Promotes a family business environment
Sharjah, December 24 / WAM / Today, the Sharjah Economic Development Department organized a virtual introductory workshop on licensing “family businesses” with the aim of educating family business owners about the procedures and requirements necessary to register their companies in accordance with the decision of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The workshop included a detailed explanation of the family charter, the family company’s articles of incorporation, and the guide to procedures for establishing and registering family companies. It highlighted the importance of organizing family companies to ensure their continuity and development across generations.
The workshop addressed several important topics, including the conditions for establishing family companies, a detailed explanation of the legal procedures and documents required to establish a family company, and the advantages and opportunities of family companies.
It also reviewed the competitive advantages of family businesses, their role in developing the local economy, government incentives and facilities, and the best international practices in managing family businesses.
