The bald eagle is America’s official national bird

The bald eagle has officially become the national bird of the United States of America.
This is after it remained a symbol of the country’s strength for more than 240 years.
US President Joe Biden signed legislation sent to him by Congress to amend US law and make the bald eagle a national bird.
The bald eagle has appeared on the Great Seal of the United States, used on official documents, since 1782.
It was named the bald eagle because of its white head, yellow beak, and brown body.
