UAE University innovates a system for workforce sustainability using “artificial intelligence”

A joint research team from the College of Management and Economics and the College of Information Technology at the United Arab Emirates University was able to develop an innovative system to predict employee turnover rates using artificial intelligence techniques and knowledge graphs, achieving an exceptional accuracy of 92.5%.
The project relied on transforming traditional employee data into knowledge graphs and using graph convolution networks (GCN) supported by explainable artificial intelligence (XAI). This approach enables organizations to analyze the factors affecting employee satisfaction and engagement, which contributes to formulating effective strategies to reduce employee turnover rates. And enhance their sustainability.
The research team that developed the system included: Maryam Al-Okasha, Dr. Omar Hajran, Dr. Israa Faisal Malik, and Dr. Nizar Zaki, who made a pioneering scientific contribution that reflects the UAE University’s commitment to providing innovative solutions to contemporary challenges, by integrating academic expertise with modern technologies. This achievement is considered a landmark. A difference that can positively impact several sectors, such as: education, health care, and human resources management.
