The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is expected to hit theaters on October 3, 2025, six months later than its previously scheduled date of April 18, 2025.

The biographical drama stars Jaafar Jackson, nephew of the late King of Pop, in the lead role, with an all-star cast that includes: Nia Long, Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, and Laura Harrier. The film was written by John Logan, and produced by Graham King, John Branca, and John McClane.

Julia Garner.. in a role «Madonna»:

After being announced for the first time in 2020, then news of its cancellation last year, it seems that the Madonna biopic is back.

Julia Garner will take on the role of the famous singer. The selection process was not easy at all, but Garner outperformed her colleagues: Florence Pugh and Alexa Demi. For the lead role, “Secretary” writer Erin Cressida Wilson joined the project after Diablo Cody’s departure, with film producer Amy Pascal initially chosen to produce.

Madonna announced the project on Instagram, where she shared a series of photos of herself working on a typewriter surrounded by scattered papers. One of the images revealed a possible title, “Who is that girl?”, in reference to her famous 1987 song and film.

Selena Gomez…in the role of “Linda Ronstadt”:

The star of the film, Emilia Perez, quickly announced the role on her Instagram account, where she posted a photo of Ronstadt’s memoirs from 2017. 2013, entitled “Simple Dreams”. Her memoir, which shares its title with the album “Ronstadt,” which went triple platinum in 1977, indicates the singer’s deep connection to the project. The director and cast members have not yet been revealed, but the film promises to explore the life of the 11-time Grammy Award winner.
