Closing activities "Al Wathba Flowers" At the Sheikh Zayed Festival

Abu Dhabi, December 27 / WAM / The activities of the Al Wathba Flower Festival concluded today, amid wide participation and great demand from visitors to the Sheikh Zayed Festival for its interactive activities and innovative events.
The festival represented the third festival accompanying the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Award for Agricultural Excellence, which is held in the award pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival.
The Al Wathba Flower Festival witnessed the holding of ten distinguished competitions that offered cash prizes amounting to 346 thousand dirhams to 37 winners. The competitions highlighted the diversity of flowers and their uses in the UAE, and encouraged visitors to showcase their creativity in arranging the most beautiful flower bouquets, as well as supporting productive families and farms. Local and specialized companies, promoting interest in horticulture and flower cultivation and adopting sustainable practices and irrigation systems.
Ten contestants from the festival’s visitors competed to design the most beautiful bouquet of flowers, and the winners of the first three places received valuable cash prizes, while certificates of appreciation were presented to those in fourth to tenth place.
The “Most Beautiful Flower-themed Costume” competition for children witnessed a large turnout from visitors and participants, and included the participation of ten children who appeared in creative flower-themed costumes and accessories in an atmosphere of fun for all family members.
As for the “Best Product Made from Flowers” competition, it included many innovative entries from productive families that presented various products made from flowers for medicinal, aromatic, cosmetic, or other uses. The competition also provided cash prizes for the first three place holders.
The award continues to participate in the Sheikh Zayed Festival, with the organization of five main festivals that include 87 accompanying competitions and seven different livestock auctions.
