Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed witnesses part of the hybrid digital gaming competitions at the “Future Games 2025”

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, witnessed part of the hybrid digital and electronic gaming competitions at the “Future Games 2025”, which is being held at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center until December 23 of this year.
The tournament is organized by Aspire, the technology program management arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council, and is supported by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
The Future Games include a group of physical sports or hybrid sports activities that combine mental and digital skills such as rapid planning and decision-making in a virtual world environment, relying on physical fitness and high physical strength to perform real movements consistent with electronic games by combining virtual reality and executing real sports and physical movements.
This tournament includes competitions in football, basketball, martial arts, archery, and drone and robotics racing.
More than 850 athletes representing more than 60 countries will participate in the tournament, to compete in 11 categories of hybrid digital and electronic games, to win financial prizes with a total value of about $5 million.
His Highness was accompanied during this visit by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Head of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Advisor to the President of the State for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, and Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council, Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai.
