Over the course of its successive sessions, the award witnessed many historical moments and important milestones, and in 2020, despite the Corona pandemic, an exceptional edition was organized that included honors for the best male and female players and coaches of the 21st century, which added to the award a global historical dimension.

In turn, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, a sports analyst, considered that Dubai’s hosting of two prominent global events, such as the Dubai International Sports Conference and the Globe Soccer Awards, reflects the UAE’s prestigious position on the global sports map.

He pointed out that the great international interest in these two events, which are held annually at the end of the year, makes them an ideal conclusion to the sports season, as well as their embodiment of the UAE’s active role in supporting and developing international sports.
