Registration for the program begins "Clean energy youth" In Dubai

DUBAI, 8 JUNE / WAM / The Sustainability and Innovation Center of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has begun receiving applications for registration in the sixth cycle of the “Clean Energy Youth” programme, as part of its tireless efforts to empower young people and enhance their readiness for the requirements of the future.
The program attracts innovative young energy leaders, Emirati students between the ages of 20 and 24, and Emirati graduates with a university degree in engineering and science from accredited academic institutions in the United Arab Emirates.
The program includes workshops, educational sessions and field tours with the participation of a group of experts, scientists and specialists in clean energy technologies.
The “Clean Energy Youth” program keeps pace with the UAE’s trends to prepare a generation capable of continuing the process of sustainable development, investing in young citizens, and providing a positive environment that supports raising their level of awareness about sustainability and clean and renewable energy.
The program enhances the position of the Sustainability and Innovation Center as an integrated global platform to empower and qualify young people, hone their skills and direct them towards paths with a sustainable impact, and enhance their active participation in achieving the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Carbon Neutrality Strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai to provide 100% of the energy production capacity from clean energy sources by the year 2050.
The total number of graduates from the program to date has reached 117 young Emiratis, many of whom are participating in research initiatives and projects related to sustainability and innovation, inspired by their experience in the program to continue their academic and professional careers.
By the end of the program, participants will gain knowledge in the areas of: solar energy, energy storage, green hydrogen, pumped-storage hydropower, wind energy, electric mobility, circular economy, renewable energy financing, innovation, and sustainability.
