The Minister of Health is considering reducing and unifying the prices for detecting narcotic substances for employees of the state administrative apparatus

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with a number of concerned authorities, to discuss and study unifying prices for detecting narcotic substances for employees of the state’s administrative apparatus, who are required by law to conduct analyzes during movements (promotions, transfers, assignments, And appointment).

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the Minister stressed during the meeting the importance of reaching unified visions in Fair and uniform pricing for the detection of narcotic substances for employees of the state administrative apparatus in all agencies concerned with conducting the examination, through clear and specific pricing policies, where a unified price for the examination was set at 250 pounds, instead of the varying prices that reached 900 pounds in some agencies.

 

«Abdul Ghaffar» added During the meeting, the Minister stressed the necessity of unifying controls and detection mechanisms, as well as unifying reagents in the various authorities concerned with conducting the examination of narcotic substances, as well as enhancing supplies of examination reagents through the concerned authorities.

 

Abdul Ghaffar pointed out The meeting discussed the possibility of localizing the manufacture of narcotic reagents in Egypt, where the Minister directed in this regard to develop an integrated study and vision and communicate with the supplying companies in various countries. He also directed to quickly complete the electronic linking of all centers concerned with signing the test with each other.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Amr Kandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Menen Abdel Maksoud, Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment, and Dr. Ahmed Mostafa, Chairman of the General Authority. For health insurance, Dr. Nancy El-Gendy, Head of the Central Department of Laboratories, Dr. Ghada Ismail, Director of the Reference Laboratory at the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, Assistant Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hassan Harak, Legal Advisor and Head of the Detection Unit at the Anti-Addiction Fund, and Dr. Amr Othman, Director of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse, Dr. Sawsan Al-Maadawi, Head of the Central Administration of Medical Committees at the General Authority for Health Insurance, and Dr. Reem Al-Sa’i, Director of the Laboratories Department at the Mental Health Secretariat.
