550 participants in the camel auction in"Mohammed bin Zayed Camel Racing Festival"

Umm Al Quwain, December 30 / WAM / The camel grooming and mahalleb competition at the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Festival for purebred Arabian camel races and the camel grooming “Al-Libasa 2024 – 2025” concluded, which was held during the period from 25 to 30 December this year. In Al Labsa Square in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain.
The camel auction and the milking competition at the festival recorded strong competitions between camel owners, with the participation of 550 owners of purebred camels from local and purebred breeds from 6 Gulf and Arab countries.
At the end of its sixth day, the organizing committee of the festival crowned the winners of the Hawl Mazayna rounds and the mahlab competition, in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Director of the Camel Racing Federation, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and a number of officials, senior camel owners, lovers of heritage mazayna, and visitors to the mazayna from the UAE. And the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The results in a round about local purchases for the tribesmen resulted in “Mayasa”, owned by Nasser Hamad Suhail Awaida Al Khaili, winning first place, “Dhi”, owned by Mubarak Obaid Saeed Salmeen Al Mansouri, coming in second place, and “Awayed”, owned by Hussein in third place. Hassan Ali Saeed Al Mahrami.
In a race around local children’s playgrounds, “The Legend”, owned by Rashid Ali Sayyah Al Mansouri, won first place, “Ethman”, owned by Bakhit Ghaleb Sultan Ghaleb Al Mansouri, came in second place, and “Dama’ah”, owned by Saleh Jaber Saleh Al Qamda Al Ameri, came in third place.
The results showed in a round about Asayel hybrids for the tribesmen that “Al-Nayfa”, owned by Salem Hamad Ali Muslim Hamila Al-Mazroui, won first place, “Ghayathi”, owned by Mubarak Sultan Mubarak Saeed Al-Mansouri, came in second place, and “Leadership”, owned by Ramis Muslim, won third place. As for a round about local shops for the people of the tribes (the people of the region), the first place was won by “Al-Labasa”, owned by Musabah Saif Rashid Al-Raihi Al-Alili, and in second place was “Mayassa”, owned by Nasser Saif Musabah bin Touq Al Ali, and in third place was “Beyeh”. On the other hand, the results of the mahaleb competition in the Al-Khawair race for 10 weight races recorded that “Khuwairah”, owned by Ahmed Jumah Saeed Hareb Al-Amimi, won first place, and in the Orabi race, “Al-Sheikha”, owned by Ahmed Jumah Saeed Hareb Al-Amimi, came in first place, and in the race The first place went to Al-Shahiniyah, owned by Suhail Ahmed Muhammad Balhatham Al-Amiri, and the results in the regional round showed that Al-Diriyah won. Owned by Saif Muhammad Obaid Muhammad Al-Ghafli, first place.
The camel auction and the mahaleb competition included 280 prizes distributed over 28 rounds, of which 24 rounds were allocated to camels for local tribesmen and purebreds, within 6 age categories, while the mahaleb competition included 4 rounds.
