المملكة: The Crown Prince offers his condolences to the Korean Deputy Prime Minister for the victims of the plane accident
His Highness the Crown Prince said: “We were informed of the news of a plane crash at Muan International Airport in the Republic of Korea, and the resulting deaths and injuries. We express to Your Excellency, to the families of the deceased, and to your friendly people, our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, and that you do not see any harm.”
The Kingdom’s condolences to the families of the victims
Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the sincere condolences and sympathy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the families of the victims and to the government and people of the friendly Republic of Korea, as a result of the accident.
Regarding the details of the horrific accident, rescue teams announced that a plane had crashed at an airport in South Korea, killing 179 passengers, and saving two, according to what firefighting officials said.
The National Fire Agency explained that rescuers rushed to extract people from the Jeju Air plane, which was carrying 181 people, at Muan Airport, which is located about 290 kilometers south of Seoul.

South Korean authorities said that a fire broke out in a plane carrying 181 people after it deviated from the runway and collided with a concrete wall at Muan International Airport, located southwest of Seoul, yesterday morning, Sunday.
According to Yonhap, it was reported at the time that the accident was believed to have killed most of the passengers, with the exception of two people who were rescued.
The accident occurred at 9:07 a.m., when the Jeju Air plane deviated during landing and collided with a fence at the airport located in the town of Muan, which is about 288 kilometers southwest of the capital, Seoul.

The plane was on its way from Bangkok to Seoul, with 181 people on board, including six crew members, and most of the passengers were Koreans, with the exception of two Thais.
Video clips showed the plane trying to land without using the wheels, which led to it veering off the runway and colliding with the concrete wall before it exploded and caught fire.
