During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop and advance them in various fields, especially at the level of defense cooperation and military industries, and the requirements for improving this cooperation through increased exchange of visits and expertise, in the field of developing defense technologies, and raising the levels of competence and readiness of individuals, in a way that contributes to preserving the interests of the two countries. And achieving the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

During the meeting, the overall developments and developments on the regional and international arenas, as well as the current conditions witnessed by the Middle East region, were reviewed, while emphasizing the importance of intensifying cooperation in order to accelerate the pace of international efforts in support of peace and enhancing the foundations of stability, as they constitute the first pillar of development.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Guido Crosetto visited the Italian training ship “Amerigo Vespucci”, one of the most prestigious training ships in the world, during its presence in Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi, as part of its first visit to the country in its 93-year history.

His Highness inspected the historic Italian ship, which began operating in 1931. At the end of the tour, His Highness wrote a word in the VIP visitors’ register, in appreciation of the history of the ship, which is a symbol of the Italian Navy.
