The UAE evacuates 127 injured, sick and accompanying people from Gaza

In a trip that is the twenty-third of its kind, the UAE today (Tuesday) implemented a humanitarian initiative in cooperation with the World Health Organization to evacuate 55 injured and critically ill patients from the Gaza Strip – including children and cancer patients in need of intensive treatment – from Ramon Airport in Israel and via the crossing. Karam Abu Salem received medical care in state hospitals, accompanied by 72 of their family members.

The UAE has also made unremitting efforts to provide advanced health care to the injured and sick Palestinians, as the UAE field hospital in southern Gaza has treated more than 50,489 cases since its opening on December 2, 2023, while the floating hospital off the coast of the Egyptian city of Al-Arish has treated more than 8,597 cases since its opening in February. 2024.

Since the beginning of the crisis, the UAE has provided a broad relief response to the Palestinian brothers to support them in the critical circumstances they are going through, as it provided nearly 50,000 tons of relief, food and medical supplies..
