Imagination embodied and reality transformed… Dammam Culture concludes the Video Art Forum exhibition

Yesterday, the Culture and Arts Society in Dammam concluded the International Video Art Forum exhibition in its sixth session, which it organized in partnership with the Cinema Society, under the title “Imagination Embodied… Reality Transformed,” and continued for 10 days, at the Cinema Society’s headquarters in Al-Khobar Governorate.
The association indicated that the forum presented 56 artistic works from 29 countries, after registering 127 artistic participations from 41 countries.
The exhibition’s specialized jury announced the names of the winners of this session, which resulted in Silvia Di Gennaro from Italy winning first place, Hiroya Sakurai from Japan winning second place, and Andrea Leoni from Italy winning third place.
The committee also awarded certificates of excellence to the artists Mishal Suhaim Al-Thubaiti from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jeremy Urie from France, Nada Maher Metwally from Egypt, and Racal Salvatilla from Spain.

Discover new ideas

A number of artists and video art makers participating in the forum spoke about their experiences, the artistic features of this edition in this field, and their future aspirations, which move towards more innovation and technological progress.
And to continue exploring this art and producing new works, with the unlimited possibilities that this art possesses, enabling them to discover new ideas and reshape artistic experiences.

Contemporary artistic visual experiences

The International Video Art Forum has succeeded throughout its previous five sessions in presenting contemporary artistic visual experiences using high technologies.
It attracted more than 823 artistic works from more than 70 countries, and presented 31 specialized artistic seminars and workshops.
It is the first international gathering in the Gulf for world artists, and each session carries an artistic slogan and witnesses broad artistic excellence, because video art is based on modern technology and with it the artist looks towards the future, and his imagination is inspired by reality and expresses it towards the future.
