المملكة: The Kingdom’s Embassy in Egypt celebrates International Arabic Language Day
Today, the Kingdom’s Embassy in Egypt celebrated at its headquarters the International Arabic Language Day, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, and a number of university presidents, intellectuals, Egyptian media figures, and members of the embassy.
Ambassador Al-Hussaini delivered a speech on this occasion in which he stressed the great care the Kingdom has given to the Arabic language since its founding, which has played an active role in preserving it and enhancing its status. He pointed out that the Kingdom has made efforts to care for the language and its heritage by establishing solid institutional and academic frameworks embodied in a number of relevant centers and bodies. By preserving the integrity of the Arabic language, first and foremost the King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language.

Promoting the use of the Arabic language
The Charge d’Affaires of the Cultural Attaché in Egypt, Dr. Mansour bin Zaid Al-Khathlan, spoke about the contributions of the Arabic language globally in various areas of life, highlighting its role in transmitting knowledge to the peoples of all the world. He also addressed the Kingdom’s efforts to promote the use of the Arabic language in international forums, and its support for translation programs into Arabic. The Arabic language to enhance understanding between cultures, in addition to supporting it in the field of education.
The ceremony included an Arabic calligraphy corner, and visual presentations highlighting the aesthetics of the Arabic language.
