For these two reasons, the United Nations is concerned about the displaced people in Gaza

The United Nations International Organization for Migration (IOM) today expressed its deep concern about the devastating impact of winter rains and freezing temperatures on displaced Palestinians in Gaza, adding to the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
The Director-General of the organization, Amy Pope, said in a statement today issued in Geneva, that people at risk have died, including at least seven infants, due to hypothermia, which confirms the urgent need for shelter and other assistance to reach the residents of Gaza immediately.
According to the statement, a coordination group for the United Nations and humanitarian, international and local organizations estimated that at least 945,000 people are still in urgent need of winter aid, indicating that the group reserves more winter aid, but the severe restrictions imposed prevent it from reaching those in need.
The organization renewed its urgent call for a ceasefire to enable the safe and immediate delivery of life-saving aid to those most in need.
