The Police Heritage Section of the Protocol and Public Relations Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, in cooperation with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, organized a parade of classic vehicles, which started from Al Maqta Museum all the way to the old Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department building, as part of a community event aimed at reviving displays of classic vehicles and enhancing positive communication with community members.
A large group of enthusiasts and fans of old, classic four-wheel drive vehicles and saloons, whose production dates back to the 1950s and 1960s, participated in the march. The participating vehicles showcased their historical designs that reflect different stages of the development of the vehicle industry, amid remarkable interaction from the public and fans of this type of vehicle.
Abu Dhabi Police is keen to launch and organize innovative community initiatives that enhance partnership with community members, contribute to spreading traffic safety concepts, establish a culture of safe driving using modern and interactive methods, and introduce the public to the role of the old Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department building in registering vehicles and issuing licenses in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to supporting events that bring together classic vehicle enthusiasts, which reflects its continuous approach to improving the quality of life and enhancing positive communication with various segments of society.
