The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan discuss cooperation and regional and international developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, met yesterday with the Prime Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif.
During the meeting, which took place in the city of Rahim Yar Khan in Pakistan, His Highness and the Pakistani Prime Minister discussed paths of cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Pakistan and opportunities to enhance them, especially in the economic, trade and development fields, and other aspects that serve their mutual interests and aspirations towards achieving development and sustainable economic prosperity for their people. This is within the framework of the close historical relations between the two countries, and their common interest in continuing their development.
The two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and exchanged views on them.
During the meeting, Mohammed Shahbaz Sharif expressed his pride in the strong ties of friendship between his country and the UAE, expressing his thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the continued support that the UAE provides to Pakistan, especially in the development fields, and its qualitative initiatives in this regard.
He stressed the joint keenness to strengthen these relations and develop the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various economic, investment and development aspects, in a way that benefits their peoples and contributes to achieving their common interests.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, the Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, and the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi.
. The two sides discussed enhancing joint work between the UAE and Pakistan in the economic, trade and development fields.
