المملكة: On alert to deal with the rainy situation and 1811 prepared in the streets

Today, Monday, the Jeddah Governorate Municipality mobilized its field efforts to deal with the rainy situation that the governorate is witnessing, by deploying teams, removing water pools, and treating affected sites, to ensure the safety of residents and the smooth flow of movement on public roads.

The secretariat indicated that the field teams began carrying out their tasks in 11 municipalities and 15 support centers, reinforced by 4,032 individuals and 1,811 equipment and mechanisms, in conjunction with the reports received from the National Center of Meteorology, confirming the activation of plans, taking the necessary measures, and deploying the teams and mechanisms, in coordination with Concerned authorities.

The secretariat redoubled its efforts to deal with the rainy situation, indicating continued coordination and follow-up of alerts from the National Center of Meteorology and the Center for Crisis and Disaster Management, as well as activating the awareness role through social media accounts and road screens, which includes disseminating warning messages for the safety of residents and visitors, and supporting the efforts of the concerned authorities during rainfall. .

Stay away from electricity

The Jeddah Municipality calls on everyone to take caution and stay away from sites where water accumulates, and to avoid sources of electrical currents, given that the governorate is affected by thunderstorms, hail, strong winds, and high waves.
It also calls for reporting any emergency cases related to the effects of the rainy weather, through the unified number for receiving reports, 940, or through (My Country App), stressing the necessity of following the instructions of the concerned authorities and taking information from their sources.
