The National Center of Meteorology revealed the continued impact of atmospheric instability affecting most regions of the Kingdom, explaining that forecasts indicate thunderstorms of varying intensity, ranging from light to medium, and reaching heavy in some locations.

The center confirmed that these rains will be accompanied by active winds that raise dust and dust, which will lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility, with the possibility of torrential rains in low-lying areas and valleys..

The eastern region and Mecca

The center stated that the eastern region will witness moderate rain on Saturday and Sunday in Hafr Al-Batin, Al-Khafji, and Al-Nairiya, and light to moderate rain on Sunday in Dammam, Jubail, Al-Khobar, Qatif, Al-Ahsa, and Saihat. As for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, the Center reported that it will be affected by light to moderate rain on Thursday evening and on Friday in Jeddah, Rabigh, Khulais, and Al-Kamil, while the Holy Capital, Bahra, and Al-Jamoum will witness moderate to heavy rain on Friday, and the situation extends to include Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Laith, And Qunfudhah, which will witness heavy rain from Friday until Sunday.

Light rain in some areas

Regarding the Riyadh region, the center explained that forecasts indicate light to moderate rains in Afif, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Quwaiyah, Shaqra, Al-Zulfi, and Al-Majma’ah on Friday and Saturday, while the capital, Riyadh, Al-Kharj, and Dalam, will be affected by the same rains on Saturday and Sunday.

Northern and southern regions

Regarding the northern regions, the center revealed that the northern border region will witness light to moderate rains on Friday and Saturday, including Arar, Turaif, Rafha, and Al-Uwaiqilia, while the Al-Jawf region will be affected by similar rains in Sakaka, Qurayyat, and Tabarjal during the same period.
He stressed that the southern regions, including Asir, Jizan, and Al-Baha, will witness moderate to heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Al-Namas, Rijal Alma, Jizan, Al-Baha, Baljurashi, and Al-Makhwah..
The center indicated that these rains will be accompanied by multiple weather phenomena, including active winds that raise dust and dirt, leading to a low level of horizontal visibility, in addition to the possibility of hail and rising sea waves in coastal areas..
