Today, Masdar organized a press conference to reveal the activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, which will be launched from January 12 to 18 under the slogan “Integration of sectors for a sustainable future,” in the presence of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week partners and a number of media representatives.

Al Ramahi added that Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which is being held under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” is the first event on the global sustainability agenda this year, and will work to enhance dialogue between decision-makers, business leaders, and civil society and enable them to Finding paths that contribute to accelerating the transition towards a sustainable economy and starting a new phase of growth and prosperity that includes everyone.

He expressed his aspiration to continue the process of successes, as Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will receive 13 heads of state and government from around the world, from Africa, Asia and Europe. Al Ramahi highlighted the four strategic themes of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, which are: Sustainable economic development, achieving a fair qualitative shift in energy systems, innovation and technology, in addition to large-scale financing, pointing out that the current version of the event will launch with a program full of activities and constructive dialogues, starting with the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) on 12 From this January, through the holding of the most prominent event represented by the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit on January 14.

For her part, Lynn Al-Sibai, General Manager of RX Middle East and President of the World Future Energy Summit, told the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the area of ​​the 17th edition of the World Future Energy Summit covers more than 35,000 square meters of exhibition space, This year, it is expected to attract more than 30,000 participants from all over the world.

She explained that the summit includes 11 international pavilions and is witnessing a significant growth in the number of exhibitors. The event also includes about five exhibitions and seven conferences, which together will stimulate energy and the entire energy ecosystem, providing exhibitors and visitors with an in-depth look at sustainable progress.

She confirmed that the summit this year will focus on female entrepreneurs and startup companies through the Climate Innovation Exchange Program “Clicks” and “Clicks AI,” as the program aims to showcase innovations and artificial intelligence, and provides an exceptional opportunity for these companies and female entrepreneurs to present products to a committee of international investors.

For his part, Abdul Aziz Al Obaidli, Chief Operating Officer at Masdar, confirmed that the current version of the event is witnessing a large participation of women, as it is expected that 40% of the participating executives will be female, explaining that Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a An important platform to highlight the role of women in the renewable energy and sustainability sector.

He expressed Masdar’s aspiration to unveil new projects and sign a number of partnerships around the world, noting that Masdar currently owns renewable energy stations with a production capacity exceeding 30 gigawatts.
