"Liwa Sports" The preparation of an encyclopedia entry file begins "Guinness"
ABU DHABI, 10 JANUARY / WAM / Liwa Sports Club announced that it has begun taking steps to prepare the entry file for the Guinness Book of World Records in light of the great success achieved by the Liwa International Festival in past editions, the most recent of which concluded on January 4 in the Mereb area.
The club confirmed that work is underway to register Liwa’s recreational caravan parks in the Guinness Book of World Records, as the largest service caravan parks in the world, noting that since its establishment in 2017, these parks have proven their status as one of the most prominent facilities designated for land trip lovers in the world.
This initiative was launched during the Liwa International Festival, where parking lots accommodating 144 caravans were opened in 2018. Since then, the Liwa Club has continued to develop it, as the capacity was doubled in 2019 to 296 caravans, then to 448 caravans in 2021 thanks to the addition of services. Essential and launching an electronic reservations system through the club application.
The club confirmed in a statement today that in 2022, the capacity increased to 592 caravans, and the year 2023 witnessed a qualitative leap with the establishment of an asphalt road inside the parking lots, in addition to providing sports fields and public facilities, which raised the capacity to 840 caravans, and in 2024 the club focused on Improving visitors’ experience by developing a unified electronic reservations system, providing environmentally friendly golf vehicles to serve visitors, and ensuring a quiet and safe area for all community members.
The club’s management explained that these efforts aim to enhance the position of Liwa Caravan Parking as a leading global destination, and to make it a role model in developing entertainment services dedicated to caravans, stressing that registering this achievement in the Guinness Book of Records embodies the Liwa Sports Club’s ambition to achieve global excellence.
