During the World Future Energy Summit, Japanese companies discuss expansion opportunities in the region

ABU DHABI, 14 JANUARY / WAM / Naoharu Takata, official of the Japanese pavilion at the World Future Energy Summit held within the activities of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, confirmed that Japanese participation in the event reflects his countryโ€™s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Emirates and Gulf countries in the fields of advanced technology and renewable energy.
Takata pointed out in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the event represents an exceptional opportunity to showcase the latest Japanese innovations and explore opportunities for cooperation and partnership in the region.
He stressed that the UAE, and the Gulf countries in general, are among the most prominent regions that provide promising opportunities for investment and implementation of technological projects in the fields of renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions.
He pointed out that the Japanese pavilion this year includes six companies that provide advanced technologies related to clean energy, water, and artificial intelligence.
Takata said that these companies come under the umbrella of the โ€œJapan-Emirati coordination in the field of advanced technology,โ€ which aims to support innovation and enhance sustainability.
Speaking about the six companies, he explained that companies specialized in water technology are working on developing innovative solutions to address issues related to water scarcity, improving water consumption efficiency and managing water resources, while companies working in artificial intelligence are focusing on developing smart operating systems to manage power plants and reduce emissions.
He added that one of the companies works in the field of sustainable transport and possesses special technologies for managing air transport, as it concluded a contract with one of the major Emirati airlines to develop advanced systems in the field of sustainable aviation.
He stressed that all participating companies aim to support global efforts to achieve carbon neutrality, whether through developing sustainable transportation, artificial intelligence technologies, or efficient water management.
He said, โ€œSome companies have already begun working in the UAE through commercial contracts and partnerships, while other companies are seeking to enter the local market through memorandums of understanding.โ€
Takata praised the World Future Energy Summit, describing it as a global platform that enhances dialogue and cooperation between countries and companies to achieve sustainable development goals.
He added that such events give emerging and advanced companies an opportunity to introduce their products and build strategic partnerships with various parties in the region. For us, this summit is not only to promote Japanese technology, but also to strengthen relations with our partners in the Emirates.
