Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed visits the pavilion of the “Youth for Sustainability” Center

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, visited the pavilion of the “Youth for Sustainability” Center as part of the activities of “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025”, which is being held at the ADNEC Center Abu Dhabi, until January 18 of this year.

During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with members of the “Youth for Sustainability” platform, the leading global initiative led by “Masdar” to empower a new generation of future leaders in the field of sustainability, where His Highness was briefed on the platform’s programs and initiatives. Its role in developing youth skills, to enhance their contributions to supporting global sustainability efforts, and finding innovative solutions to growing climate challenges.

His Highness stressed the importance of enhancing the role of youth in establishing sustainable practices and developing climate solutions based on the foundations of knowledge, research and innovation, and employing the latest artificial intelligence solutions and technologies with a focus on developing advanced skills in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, to enable the youth group to find sustainable solutions that bring about positive change. Tangible in the environmental landscape and the energy sector at the local, regional and global levels.

His Highness pointed out that the UAE continues to seek to achieve further progress in terms of transitioning towards clean energy sources by employing the latest technologies and innovations, and exchanging experiences with leading international bodies in this field, based on the principles and values ​​of sustainability that the country adopts and the goals of the “Strategic Initiative for Neutrality.” Climate 2050”, which comes within the comprehensive national efforts aimed at consolidating the foundations and practices of sustainability in various key sectors.

During the visit, His Highness was accompanied by Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

It is noteworthy that the “Youth for Sustainability” Center, which is organized by “Masdar” from January 14 to 16 as part of the activities of “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025”, hosts a wide range of interactive sessions, workshops and networking events that include the annual “Youth for Sustainability Forum”. , which includes interactive sessions, important panel discussions, and keynote speeches by experts, entrepreneurs, and innovators; And the “Out of the Laboratory” exhibition, which provides an innovative market experience showcasing the latest climate technologies and solutions to achieve climate neutrality developed by startups, student projects, including participants in the “Youth for Sustainability” platform, and “Communicating with Youth” workshops, which address the definition on climate issues and engages young people in simulated climate negotiation experiences, in addition to the “Climate Innovation Competition Pitch Day,” during which young innovators will present their ideas centered around finding solutions to the challenges of water scarcity.

It is also worth noting that “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025”, which is organized this year under the slogan “Integration of sectors for a sustainable future”, hosts a wide range of events and discussion sessions attended by a number of country leaders, decision makers, entrepreneurs and representatives of civil society, to discuss ways to accelerate transformation.
