Hamas agrees to the truce agreement in Gaza… and Israel provides cameras to document the release

On Wednesday, the Hamas movement agreed to a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, according to two sources familiar with the progress of the negotiations in Doha, after an ongoing war for more than 15 months between Israel and the Hamas movement in which thousands were killed.
A source confirmed to Agence France-Presse that “Hamas and Islamic Jihad informed the mediators of their approval of the final draft of the ceasefire agreement and the prisoner exchange deal,” while another source said that “Hamas delivered to Israel through the mediators the positive response… after agreeing on all the points and details.”
Relatedly, the Israeli Prison Service ordered guard personnel on Wednesday to be equipped with body cameras.
Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported, “The decision aims to document the physical and medical condition of prisoners at every stage of their release.”
The Israeli newspaper indicated that the Commissioner General of Operations and Security in Israel, Avichai Ben Hammu, was the one who made this decision.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said yesterday, Tuesday, that concluding a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip is “closer than ever before.”
