Saudi defenses are destroyed “ballistically” and 12 “drones” in Al-Kharj, Sharqiya, and Riyadh
Saudi air defenses destroyed a ballistic missile in Al-Kharj and 12 drones in the Eastern Province and Riyadh, from dawn today until 10:25 a.m. local time.
According to the Ministry of Defense spokesman, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, a ballistic missile launched towards Al-Kharj Governorate (80 kilometers southeast of Riyadh) was intercepted and destroyed, noting that the fragments fell in the vicinity of Prince Sultan Air Base without causing damage.
Al-Maliki reported that 10 drones were intercepted in the eastern region, and two enemy drones were shot down while trying to approach the embassy district in the capital, Riyadh.
At dawn today, the Saudi Civil Defense issued an alert in Al-Kharj to warn of a danger, through the “National Early Warning Platform in Emergency Situations,” before announcing its disappearance after about 12 minutes, calling for continuing to follow its instructions, completely avoiding gatherings and photography, and staying away from danger sites.
Yesterday, Major General Al-Maliki revealed the interception and destruction of 45 drones in the eastern region, in addition to a ballistic missile launched towards Al-Kharj Governorate.
