US Supreme Court upholds TikTok ban in this case
The US Supreme Court said that the risk to national security posed by the company’s relationship with China outweighs the concerns of TikTok or its 170 million users in the United States related to restricting freedom of expression.

This comes at a time when a sale does not appear to be imminent, and although experts have said that the application will not disappear from the phones of current users.
Once the law enters into force from tomorrow, Sunday, new users will not be able to download it, and updates will not be available.

The US Department of Justice stated in documents submitted to the court that this would ultimately make the application inoperable.
The court’s decision came against the backdrop of unusual political turmoil between President-elect Donald Trump, who pledged that he was able to negotiate a solution, and the administration of President Joe Biden, which indicated that it would not implement the law starting on Sunday, which is the last day of Biden’s term.
