Suspensions keep 6 players out of the 15th round of the Professional League… and threaten 8 others

The fifteenth round of the Professional Football League begins tomorrow, and will continue for three days, with six players absent from the ranks of four clubs due to suspension, while eight players face the risk of missing the sixteenth round if they receive a yellow card during the current round’s matches.
According to statistics from “Emirates Today” from the past rounds, the list of absentees is led by Sharjah team defender Shaheen Abdul Rahman, due to the accumulation of yellow cards, after he received the first warning against Al Ain in the eleventh round, and the second against Kalba in the thirteenth round, before he received the third yellow card during the Al Dhafra match in the last fourteenth round.
Kalba team player Ahmed Abunamous will also be absent from the round, after he received a red card as a result of receiving two warnings against his team against Al Ain, but Abunamous will miss one match, according to Article (1.1.55) of Chapter Seven of the Administrative Regulations approved in the season regulations.
Al-Wahda team continues to lose the services of the duo Facundo Daniel and Favor Ogbu during their upcoming confrontation with Al-Bataeh, after they were directly expelled in the match with Al-Ain in the “Abu Dhabi Clasico”, which puts the new Slovenian coach Darko Milanic in front of an early test to find appropriate solutions and alternatives to compensate for these influential absences.
On the other hand, the Dibba team will play its match against Baniyas in the absence of players, after the expulsion of both Iago Azevedo and Simon Cabral in the Shabab Al-Ahly match, which ended with the team losing 7-0, which increases the difficulty of the task of Romanian coach Ciprian Panite, especially in light of the team’s struggle to escape from the relegation zones.
A number of players face the risk of being suspended from the sixteenth round if they receive a yellow card during the current round. They are the Sharjah trio Firas Balarabi, Othman Camara, and Saul Guariraba, the Al Jazira duo Muhammad Rabie and Khalifa Al Hammadi, the Khor Fakkan player Abdullah Al Rifai, the Shabab Al Ahly player Matthews Dias Lima, in addition to the Dibba player Muhannad Ali “Mimi.” It is noteworthy that the match between Al-Nasr and Baniyas, which was held in round 14, and ended with a victory for Baniyas with two unanswered goals, and was managed by referee Nasser Al-Ali, witnessed a rare case, during which no yellow or red card was shown.
On a related level, Al Wasl’s ranks will be strengthened in its upcoming confrontation with Al Nassr in the “Dubai Derby”, with the return of the duo Renato Tapia and Renato Junior after serving the suspension penalty due to the accumulation of warnings. Baniyas will also regain the services of its player Mohamedou Camara, after the end of his suspension penalty due to warnings during the Al Nasr match.
