The national judo team wins the Casablanca International Championship title

Rabat, January 20 / WAM / The national judo team won the title of the Casablanca International Open Senior Judo Championship, which was held in the city of Casablanca, Morocco, and concluded its competition yesterday, with the participation of 25 Arab and foreign countries.
The opening round of the tournament witnessed Naji Kazibek winning the gold medal in the 66 kg weight category, in his first foreign participation with the national team, while Karim Abdel Latif won the gold medal in the under 73 kg weight category, and Suleiman Ibrahim won the gold medal in the under 90 kg category, so that our team topped the overall standings, followed by Cameroon’s national team came in second place with two golds and two silvers, followed by India’s national team with two golds and a bronze.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, President of the Emirates Judo Federation, expressed his happiness with this achievement, pointing out that victory over well-established teams could only have been achieved by exerting a lot of effort, in order to reach the top of the international championship, which contributed to placing the name of the Emirates on the podium with a score of Three gold medals from only three players, stressing that this achievement is considered a great incentive in preparation for the coming period, which will witness many foreign participations.
