92% of Gaza’s homes were destroyed

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said today that 92% of the homes in the Gaza Strip, or about 436,000 homes, were destroyed or damaged as a result of the Israeli aggression, while 90% of the citizens were displaced from their homes.
Dr. Rick Pepperkorn, representative of the World Health Organization in Palestine, said that the ceasefire announcement gives hope, but the challenge that awaits us is amazing, as addressing the enormous needs and restoring the health system will be a complex and difficult task, given the size and complexity of the operations and the resulting restrictions.
