The Board of Trustees of the National Commission for Human Rights holds its first meeting in 2026

Abu Dhabi, 25 March / WAM / The Board of Trustees of the National Authority for Human Rights held its first meeting of 2026 in its second session today, headed by His Excellency Dr. Salem Suhail Al Neyadi, President of the National Authority for Human Rights and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The first meeting witnessed the selection of His Excellency Hamad Salem Al Ameri, by acclamation, to the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Human Rights Commission, in accordance with Law No. (12) of 2021 regarding the establishment of the Commission and the formation of the Board of Trustees.

The meeting also discussed a number of administrative topics aimed at developing the institutional work system in accordance with the best recognized practices in this regard.

His Excellency Dr. Salem Suhail Al Neyadi stressed the importance of strengthening the human rights system in the country and working in accordance with an integrated and sustainable institutional vision.

His Excellency also called the second session of the Authority’s Board of Trustees the “Empowerment Session,” which reflects the continuity of work and efforts made during the first session of the Board.

In conclusion, His Excellency stressed the Commission’s commitment to continue working in a spirit of responsibility and professionalism, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the wise leadership and contributes to supporting the human rights process in the country.
