المملكة: 649 educational achievements crown Jeddah’s education journey in 2024
The General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate achieved a series of qualitative achievements during the year 2024, winning 649 awards and medals at the local, regional and international levels, in a step that reflects the continued excellence of educational outcomes and the efforts of male and female students and male and female teachers in achieving leadership in various scientific, cultural and artistic fields.
These outstanding achievements were the culmination of the participation of 631 male and female students in various educational competitions, in addition to the male and female teachers winning 18 distinguished awards in recognition of their efforts and active role in supporting the educational process.
An inspiring learning environment
The Director General of Education in Jeddah Governorate, Manal Al-Lahibi, explained that these major successes would not have been achieved without the continued support of the wise leadership – may God support them – for the education sector, and the permanent support from the Emirate of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, led by the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, and his deputy, Prince Saud. Bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, and His Highness the Governor of Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, who provided support and care to motivate all parties to the educational process.
Al-Lahibi stressed that the educational environment that Jeddah enjoys is a role model, as it constitutes an environment that stimulates creativity and excellence, thanks to the advanced educational programs it provides and motivational initiatives that have helped improve the performance of male and female students in local and international competitions.

Various achievements
Al-Lahibi added that the year 2024 witnessed multiple achievements, including 60 public and private schools achieving the Medal of Excellence in the School Calendar from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, in addition to strengthening community partnerships by signing 24 partnership agreements with educational and community institutions, participating with 17 educational organizations, as well as opening 40 buildings. New teachers to support the educational environment.
She pointed out that Jeddah Education students, male and female, presented a wonderful model of volunteer work, as volunteer work hours exceeded 4.9 million hours during the year, with the participation of 123,323 male and female volunteers, and 16,298 education volunteers, which highlights Jeddah Education’s commitment to its societal responsibility.

Distinction and ambition for the future
With regard to the “NAFES” program, Jeddah Education continued to lead the program’s national indicators, which reflects the efforts made to prepare male and female students and qualify them for admission to the most prestigious international universities.
Al-Lahibi stressed that these achievements are the beginning of greater ambitions that the administration seeks to achieve in the future, praising the pivotal role played by the educational staff, including male and female teachers and school principals, and their determination and sincerity that contributed to achieving these successes.
She expressed her thanks and appreciation to all education personnel, stressing that these achievements represent pride and honor for every individual in the educational community in Jeddah Governorate, and reflect the dedication and teamwork that leads the education process towards broader horizons of creativity and excellence.
