The Sharjah Child Safety Department organizes 100 awareness programs during 2024

Sharjah, January 22 / WAM / The Child Safety Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah organized more than 100 awareness programs during the year 2024, targeting 6,200 children, adolescents, parents, and specialists, and varied between awareness workshops, specialized programs, and initiatives, in addition to community events.

The programs and workshops focused on various topics, including confronting bullying and child abuse, electronic security, children’s rights, and first aid, in addition to distinguished story sessions, in addition to enhancing the skills of drivers and supervisors through the training program “Golden Rules for Riding School Buses,” in which 1,100 beneficiaries participated, in addition to organizing training workshops on Psychological safety for children and first aid.

Hanadi Al Yafei, Director General of the Child Safety Department and Head of the Supreme Committee of the “Kanf” Center, said that thanks to the directives of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, we look at the Department’s initiatives and continuous achievements every year as integrated steps towards developing a community. The UAE and what we have achieved in 2024 confirms our mission in terms of sustainable investment in future generations.
