Elon Musk criticizes Trump’s project to invest in artificial intelligence
Elon Musk on Wednesday criticized the massive private investment plan in artificial intelligence presented by Donald Trump the day before, stressing that the partners in this new joint project “do not have the money” to finance it.
During a large gathering at the White House, the US President unveiled a joint company called “Stargate” that plans to allocate “at least $500 billion” to artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United States.
“Stargate” brings together Oracle, a company specializing in cloud computing, Japanese investment giant SoftBank, and OpenAI, a startup in the field of artificial intelligence (ChatGPT).

Lack of funding
Masayoshi Son, SoftBank’s president, said the joint venture “will begin allocating $100 billion immediately” to reach a total of $500 billion over four years.
Elon Musk announced in his account on X on Wednesday that they “do not have the money” to finance this project, and added, “SoftBank only has $10 billion. I obtained this information from a reliable source.”
The development of cloud computing (remote computing) and artificial intelligence, especially generative, requires enormous data storage capabilities, which means the need for advanced servers.
Elon Musk is participating in the artificial intelligence race, and the companies he owns, such as Tesla, have invested heavily in this field.
